World Record setting adventurer Mikah Meyer has been featured by NPR, The Today Show, and National Geographic Traveler for his three-year road trip to all 400+ National Park Service sites. Called everything from a “Sexy Travel Guru” to a “Social Media Warrior,” Mikah is the founder of the Outside Safe Space program that makes outdoor and rural spaces more welcoming to LGBTQ+ people. That mission was recognized by the Late Show with Seth Meyers when Mikah did a Run Across Mississippi for LGBTQ+ adventure representation, along with a Run Across his current state of Minnesota and a Run Across his home state of Nebraska. Named a “Stonewall #Pride50 innovator and changemaker” by NBC during World Pride 2019, Mikah has performed over 200 live shows about LGBTQ+ inclusion for audiences from Amazon’s HQ to the Road Runners Club of America national convention. With a carpe diem ethos inspired by the loss of his road-trip-loving father to cancer, Mikah not only uses travel for “adventure advocacy” projects, but to inspire audiences to live beyond convention.
